Finding Balance at 33
At 33 years old, I find myself facing a challenge that many parents know well: the exhaustion of dedicating time to a small child.
The joy of being a parent is undeniable, but sleepless nights and busy days can really test our energy levels.
To better manage this situation, Iβve made an important decision: to go to bed at 9 PM and wake up at 5 AM.
This new routine is not just about timing; itβs an attempt to preserve my mental and physical well-being. By avoiding that level of fatigue that leads me to lose my common sense, I hope to steer clear of testing new GNU/Linux distros or recording music at midnight, only to go to bed at 2 AM.
While these activities are fun, they can become counterproductive when Iβm sleep-deprived.
With this new rhythm, I also aim to get back into jogging. Before my daughter was born, I managed to run at least twice a week, an activity that helped keep my mind sharp and my body fit.
However, since my daughter turned six months old, Iβve stopped running, and Iβm even starting to neglect simple walks, all due to a lack of time.
I hope this new routine will allow me to find a balance between my responsibilities as a parent and time for myself.
Itβs essential to take care of oneself in order to be the best parent possible.
With a bit of discipline and organization, Iβm confident that I can find time for my passions and for my well-being.
